“Bullying is a word that has garnered a lot of attention lately, yet there is still some confusion as to what makes someone a bully. The play Shine is a musical about a new student in school and the bullies she encounters. Something magical happens when kids in the group decided they don’t want to be a part of this gang. They lose the gray color of the bully and are able to become the bright color they were meant to be. Shine seeks to help define what a bully is, but also gives children tools they can use when they face these same situations themselves.”
