We have been talking about patterns all week.  We have talked about AB (red, green, red, green),

ABB (red, green, green, red, green, green),

and ABC (red, green, yellow, red, green, yellow) patterns.

We are working on writing our name in the left corner, date in the right corner, one or two words (write down the sounds we hear), and drawing a picture.

1st day of Read to Self - Daily 5

Kindergarten students are working on building stamina.  Students read to self for 3 minutes today.  Tomorrow, we will try and read for 4 minutes.

Read to Self - Students look at words and look at pictures

Rules:

-Get started right away

-Read the whole time

-Stay in one spot

-Read quietly

-Continue to build stamina

AIMSweb testing tomorrow...

Please make sure your child gets a good nights rest and a good breakfast.  We will be doing AIMSweb reading test tomorrow.  

Snack

If you signed your child up for snack cart they started receiving snacks today.  Please remember that if your child is not signed up for snack cart that you needed to send a snack to school once a month for them to share with other students who do not participate in the snack cart.  If you have questions, about if your child is signed up, please let me know.
