Tattling Lesson with Mrs. Nielsen
Mrs. Nielsen came and talked to our class about tattling and when we should report it and when we should not. Here are the rules we learned below...
1. BE a Danger Ranger (If a person or animal is in danger, you must warn someone.)
2. Be a Problem Solver (If the problem involves YOU, take charge and try Hard to solve it yourself first.)
3. Now or Later? (Is the problem a "NOW" problem or a "NOT NOW" problem? Can your problem be solved at a later time."
4. Mind Yuor Own Beeswax (If the problem is not dangerous and it does not involve you...DO NOT TATTLE!)
A sheet was sent home with your child today to hang up at home.
Reader's Theater
We will be practicing the script "About Me" this week. Students were assigned parts today and will be working with their groups tomorrow. The students will also highlight their parts so they can bring them home and practice. Please be looking for the sheet tomorrow to practice with your child. Thanks so much!

I would love a volunteer in the morning anytime from 9:40-10:20. It can be 1 or 2 days of the week (you pick). Please let me know if you would be available. I would have you work on sight words with students one-on-one or in a small group. Grandparents are welcome as volunteers also. Thank you!
Special thanks....
Thank you so much to everyone who came to family night! It was so much fun to see the students interacting with their families. Here are a few more pics that Madison's mom sent me. Please let me know if you need anything sent home. Thanks!

Growing Train Game
Students can play this at home with a dice and pennies, cheerios, etc. Watch the video to see how you can play it. Turn it into a disppearing train by having them take away from the train rather than add to it.
Looking for....
We are looking for colored straws to be used in our classroom to make patterns. If you have some laying around at home and would be willing to donate them to our room please send them to school. Thanks!
