Reading Rocks Assembly!

On November 2nd,  The Miller sisters (Ms. Miller, Title I Teacher & Ms. Miller, Student Teacher) entertained us with a skit based on the book Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner.  This is Hawthorne’s third Reading Rocks! Assembly of the year.  Several staff members joined the cast as Skippyjon Jones, a feisty boy cat, went on an adventure as El Skippito, his alter ego.  Ms. Miller’s 2nd grade students assisted with the detail sentences and then gave us the MAIN IDEA, our reading strategy of the month.
